For around $26.50 (including shipping) you can't beat this product! As soon as I got it I used it myself and then everyone in the office wanted to use it, too. A couple of the folks are going to order one for themselves. The only thing you need to be a bit cautious of is the manner in which you plug it in to the receptacle on your vehicle. It needs to be lined up perfectly straight or you might bend one of the contacts on the unit's plug, causing a "Link Error." Not a problem to straighten out the contact but just be aware this can happen. I love this thing! Every shade tree mechanic (like me) should have one in the glove compartment!

This thing works great and it is very simple to use. I've used it on a 1997 subaru legacy outback, 2001 subaru legacy gt, 2002 subaru outback, 2001 saab 9-3, 2001 ford focus, 1996 jeep cherokee, and other cars when my friends were borrowing it. I just search the codes online to find out exactly what they mean. This thing will save you money at the shop.

This scanner/reader has to be the best deals on the internet.$26.50 & fast shipping, good communications with seller.Simple to use, supports all 5 protocols (instructions in English).Even my mechanic was impressed.

It works great... can't beat it for this price either... I diagnosed the problem code of my 1999 Honda Accord LX with the help of this reader, looked up the P code description on the Internet, replaced the ECT sensor as recommended with a new one myself and now my car is running better than ever. Sure enough, the old ECT sensor was having a big crack in the middle of the plastic plug-in and fell apart as I was removing.

I have used this on my 02 Nissan Altima and works great just as described. Displayed the code and i googled the translation of the code.

The OBDII reader works great. It reads the codes from your car; it can clear the codes; it's simple; it's inexpensive. It does not interpret the codes, but you can find code explanations online. It made it possible for me to look at the persistent codes I was getting and repair the problems without the time or expense of frequent trips to have the codes read. I'd do it again.

I am a entry level technician, so I am buying lots of tools and I can't always afford the bigger more expensive tools. I needed a simple scanner for home use and saw this one. I wasnt very sure about buying this since I was used to use more expensive snap on scanners but after receiving it and plugging it in, I loved it. The best part is that it only costs 26.50 dollars and does exactly what you need it to do. It scanned a 97 geo metro, 01 v6 Camry and a 07 1500 ram with no issues.

Needed a code reader for an check engine light. Reviews seemed good on this reader so I figured for that money I can't lose. So far it does exactly what I needed it to do. You have to look the codes up online but they are fairly easy to find. Sure beats paying a mechanic to do the same thing.

Am typical do it yourself kind of guy and this scanner is a huge help. No more running down to autozone to read codes anymore. Easy to use, small and compact and a great value. Wish i had bought it sooner.
Bainbridge (Posted on 2012-05-17)
This is legitimate. Reads the codes and clears the light. That's all I want, that's all I need. What a freaking bargain! If you want something more than that, get something else. Backyard DIY'er this is for you.
