For $26.50 you can't go wrong with this one. It feels pretty light and is made of plastic but I'm not planning on throwing this thing around. It is very easy to use. I am not a mechanic by trade... If I were, I might want a fancier version, however, this little scanner seems to do everything that the much more expensive ones do for a very, very low price. The only thing that the more expensive ones MIGHT do is actually display the text for the error. I used this Code scanner to troubleshoot at check engine light on our spare Honda Accord. The car had 220,000 miles on it, and I didn't want to spend a pile of money to have the issue diagnosed and fixed. I came across this code reader in my Amazon research and was surprised at the low price! Plugged it in and diagnosed the problem! My cousin came over and took it so decided to order one more again yesterday and it has already shipped. I would recommend this tool to any home mechanic, as it really does the job for troubleshooting Check Engine Lights.

for the price this is amazing! I plugged it in to my car and the codes came up in like a minute. A mechanic had told me i needed to replace an o2 sensor and a new cylinder head. Im no car expert and being a female I always feel like i can't trust mechanics. All i neede was a sparkplug change. this little scanner saved me a couple houndred dollars.

Great little reader. Plugged it in and automatically scanned and determined correct comm protocol used and then displayed relevant codes. Good item for anyone who wants to have a little more control over what's going on with their car.

Just plugged it in and got the codes. However, it will not tell you what the code means like some other OBD2 scanners. The code can easily be looked up online, something that I always do. I would recommend this product as it is great for the price and does what it is supposed to do.

It came today, hooked it up and found out why my check engine light came on all the time. just typed the code into my search engine and found out that i have a bad oxygen sensor. for the price, you can't beat it. become the neighborhood hero, by saving them money too!

This is just right for me and many others who just occasionally wants to find a DTC on our cars to make repairs. I have no reason to use it yet (I actually connected it to my vehicle today but it found no trouble code and quite rightly so. With access to internet home and mobile, there is no need for me purchase the high priced ones whose main advantage is tell you the problem right on spot. I think everyone should have one, even females so we can at least have an idea whats going on in our car.

I like this little reader. It's cheap and it works. The instructions are half a page, but they are enough for what it does. It reads the codes on my truck - GMC Canyon 05 and my wife's Nissan Altima 05 just fine. It gave me the same codes that they read at a local mechanic. It doesn't give you detailed information, just the codes, but I think that's fine. The readers that do that have to have their database upgraded every so often for it to be up to date. This one just gives the code and you have to look it up online. It read the VIN just fine. I am not sure what the I/M does, but it worked too. Overall great purchase and will recommend.

For the price you can't go wrong with this one. Does everything the more expensive ones do for less money. If you are using it for IM readyness it does show you if they are ready or not too.

Worked great for my 2008 Dodge Avenger but wouldn't show the error code for my 2010 Ford Escape. Worth the money though.

Great product! As someone else said, A great value for the money. It read the code and cleared it. What more can you ask for. Also, shipped out quickly.
