At first I was looking for an OBD II scanner but some were very expensive, some required computers, some needed batteries and then I realized that I was not going to get that deep into diagnosing and repairing. All I wanted was a code reader. This neat little gadget arrived Tuesday, plugged it into my 95 Camry on Wednesday to find out why my engine light had come on. It displayed a PO135 01/01 and I went on-line to find "Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 1". I cleared the engine light and am comfortable in knowing what has to be repaired. The only problem would be the sparse manual - less than a page.

Had not driven my Chevy Tahoe for several months. At startup she was a bit lumpy at first then smoothed out. However, the SES light illuminated. Ordered the OBD2 Reader Car Diagnostic Tool OBD II and it arrived within 3 days. In the meantime the SES light had turned itself off. When I plugged in the ODB II reader it indicated a missfire on cylinder 6 (code P0306. I reset the code and will now see if it re-appears, or was just a chance occurance.

This product worked like it was advertised. I pulled up my problem code and found the problem. I then erased the code and have had no further problems.

As others have noted, this code reader works fine. It read and cleared the codes on our 2004 Infiniti G35. However, it has only two buttons and use is not intuitive. You need the poorly written and printed one page manual to make sense of how to scroll through the menu options. Because this reader might be rendered useless by lack of the manual, I scanned the manual for future reference and have uploaded it here.

"As described by the seller, the OBD2 Reader Car Diagnostic Tool OBD II has the better price in the market (I found at least 40 more car diagnostic tools!), and it arrived one day earlier than expected. I didn't have the necessity to contact customer service, but if I do I will post another review. I would recommend the product. "

I tested on a Honda 2009 CRV, and it works great. It doesn't look ship at all, it is a simple and a good tool to have with you. I had not seen another one but at least this one is good for your money

I use it only once it gave me the right code, as I cross the information with a professional one at a friends shop. Nothing fancy but good.

Quickly confirmed my suspicions of a faulty O2 sensor. If you need to know what error code is triggering your Check Engine light, this simple tool works fine. Read the code(s), then search Google...(i.e. "obd2 P0420 toyota tacoma") Also, shipping was very quick. Ordered on a Sunday, delivered on Wednesday. Thanks!
